Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

Making the leap from animated TV show to a live action feature film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles took the country by storm back in 1990. Setting off a series of sequels, the original film provides the complete backstory of the turtles and their master (Master Splinter the Rat). In this film, the Turtles fight the "Evil" Shredder and his Foot Clan. Can't you just hear the theme song now?
